Harry Potter Movie Review DHP2

You know, I think I enjoyed this harry potter film more than any of its predecessor's. Well, perhaps with the exception of "The Prisoner of Azkapan".

Now, I have to be honest... I was hesitant about this movie for two reasons. The first being that I was concerned that the whole time I would be sitting there watching never ending battle sequences that never seemed to end. The second and definatley more serious reason was that ,seeing as how it was the last one that would ever be made, what if the film had just been a complete failure and killed my entire opinion of harry potter? I mean it definatley needed to have a strong ending right?

Now all of this considered, I was incredibly pleased with what I saw. The movie was excellent! Absolutely fantastic! It essentially brought everything to a satisfying conclusion and for the first time in I don't know how many movies, there wasnt a depressing gray lighting filter. At the end, despite some of the more sad moments and the fact that I knew I would probably never sit in front of the big screen to watch harry potter again, I honestly had a kind of happy feeling in my stomach.

You know. I also kind of slightly resent the fact that I had not been ten when the first movie came out. I would have loved to audition for this and would have loved even more to have been a part of it. hahaha... yeah.... fat chance I know... This really has been the series that has defined my childhood.

Well anyway, I truly found this movie to be spectacular and if you havn't all ready, (Which I highly doubt) go to your nearest movie theatre and do so immediatley! You will not regret it.

And now... Alas, I suppose I shall have to find a new passion in life but honestly, what else is there?
Any good books that can come even close to matching the ingenious, brilliant mind of J.K Rowling? I mean any at all?

Good bye Harry Potter. Good bye Childhood.

HARRY POTTER!!!!!

(Tear... Cry....)

Its finally almost over. I have grown up with this series and have always loved it. Now that quote "the end is near" what am i supposed to watch? I mean.. Is there really anything to replace the series? Dont even say twilight... I guess Im going to have to wait for another writer as brilliant as J.K Rowling to come along... Maybe she'll start writing a new series?... Please?

Breathe

Stress is a very bad  thing and can seriously damage your body. It can manifest itself in some very strange ways and cause very real and physical pain. Over my not so long life I have realized that there are in fact ways to manage said stress. It is very important to manage stress and a good way to do this is to regularly practice the excersizes found on this list.

See Below :)

1.) Breath

Now. While it is not necessarily imparitive that you go and stand on a beach with your arms heald high in the air while the wind whips at your hair, it is important to know that taking deep breaths can seriously help relieve stress. Taking deep breaths will cause more oxygen to flow through your blood and in turn allow your body to function more freely.

2.) Listen to Music

Music is truly an amazing thing. It has the power to alter our emotions in such a way that at times it can either make or break them. For this reason I have found that it is important to listen to the appropriate music at the right time. Have you ever been in a really bad mood and then al of a sudden a really sad song comes on the radio and it seems to only enhance your negative feelings. Turn the radio off if this happens! Some of these songs might be great. They might be really beautiful but their is a time and place for a song like this. Like when your in a really good mood and a song like this wont effect how you are feeling. I have found that the best music to listen to while trying to alleviate stress is music without lyrics that reflects the sounds of nature. Something thats not going to get stuck in your head but will simply allow you to focus on excersize number 1, Breathing!

3.Go outside!

Now I get it.... Not everyone has this in there back yard....  I know i dont! But there are pleanty of places you can go just to relax. For instance. Go to your local community park or maybe to a nice quiet botanic garden. Sometimes in life you have to realize that it is not all about you. What seems like a really big deal to you in the grande scheme of things probably isnt that big of a deal. Life is like a circle. And realizing this will get you much farther in life than you think. You will have your ups and your downs but what you have to realize is that after your down will come another up. So go outside and relish in the beauty all around you. Look at all of the little birds in the trees, the squirells collecting their nuts, the fish hopping through the stream etc. Note how all of these things have their own lives and their own problems and that to them those problems are likely the end of the world to. You are not the only person in the world with problems! Period. Life goes on. So go outside soak up that sunshine or whatever weather you happen to be experiencing that day. If its raining! Hell. Dance in the rain! If its snowing. Build a snowman! If its storming, if your in a hurricane or even if your dodging baseball sized hail embrace the world for all its worth.

4.) Laugh!

Just let go and lighten up. Laughing in my opinion is the best form of healing you will ever undergo. Its better than all of the antibiotics in the world.

5.) Surround yourself with good friends

Remember that you are not alone. And though good friends can be hard to come by. Once you have them. No matter how long you dont talk, or how many fights you've had, the good ones ( that matter) will always be there when you need them.

6.) Drink water, and eat right!

Your body was meant to eat these foods! Not big macs and french fries. Its allright to treat yourself to some junk food maybe once in a while but sometimes I wonder why its even necessary at all. The stuff above can be pretty good.

Ahhhhh..... the source of all life. This substance that we all seem to take for granted. We shower in it, cook with it, swim in it but often times we forget to use it to its true potential and drink it. Water allows your cells to heal and repair themselves and lets your body fight off disease and protect itself against foreign substances. Only makes sense to me that if I want to have a long, healthy life its probably not a bad idea to start at the root of life itself.

7.) Ditch the coffee, grab the tea...

Coffee.... Societies worste idea ever... well maybe after bull riding.... ( I mean really people, this thing is mad and wants to kill you)

Coffee has a lot of caffiene. Caffiene=Stress!
Society has gotten so out of control with everything being "go go go. Work work work. Busy busy busy!" that we need artificial energy boosters to go on with our daily routines. Stop!

Try tea! Tea has about half the caffiene of coffee and certain teas (Usually herbal ones) are far healthier for you and can actually relax you.

8.) Sleep

Someting I should probably consider right about now.....

7-8 hours at least. Best stress reliever available.

9.) Finally. Excersize

You dont have to go all crazy and drag your butt to the gym every morning. Just simply move your body! Strech, go on a walk. Get all that blood flowing and release your endorphins.

Remember. No matter how overwhelmed you might get just realize that life goes on and one way or another everything will work out in the end.

The Beach!

I really like the beach.... really.... I do. Unfortunatley the nearest one to me happens to not be so great. Tybee Island really does have the potential to be beautiful except it just isnt living up to its full potential. Now granted, Tybee does have some positive and more unique features such as the sand dunes and even the classic jersey shores atmosphere thats so classic to the Jaws like beach town that we all know and love! Except that last time I checked we dont have a man eating shark who has no problem eating a boat and taking a few bullets. But really... I dont know if anyone reading this ever seen the miley cyrus movie (.... crap what was it called.... OH!) "The Last Song" But it lied. Tybee does not look like that in real life. There are beer cans everywhere and does anyone know where this giant ferris wheel and carnival thing came from? Thats definatley not real! But anyway. I have a hard time going there for more than two hours at the most. You would think I would realize this and stop putting in enough money for three hours in the meter...

Another fun feature about tybee is the water! I really love how you can put your hand in this water and its gone! Like literally if you put your hand any deeper than three inches under the water it disappears! Yup! Thats how dirty it is! (Supposedly this is because of the marsh and this shows that the ecosystem is really healthy but I honestly dont see the fish in the carribean complaining because there water isnt muddy enough)

Wow. Arnt I encouraging!? I bet you cant wait to come on vacation here now can you!? I should be a travel guide. Buisness would be booming! I can see it now. " Oh so you want to go to Germany! Ok no problem. But you might want to bring a few umbrellas and rain jackets because it rains so much. Oh and it will be cold! And very expensive! Oh and you should bring a fire extinguisher in cas you get stuck in a forest fire! And also your probably going to catch a cold while your there so bring tylenol! Also your going to be jet lagged! Your also probably going to get struck be lightning, mauled by a bear, fall off of a cliff and be hit by and asteroid! Your going to have a great time! What? You've changed your mind? Are you sure? Wait come back. All....Allright! Well bye! Okay! Sure you wont reconsider?! Call me and we'll work on details!!! Close the door on your way out! No.... Okay. No problem... Ill do it....!   Hmmm... Oh well I guess ill have to wait for another customer...." (ring ring ring) "Hello? Oh hi! Have you changed your mind because I know a great motel that has complimentary pillow cases!? Oh.... you forgot your sunglasses. Yeah... I can leave them in the plant...."  Ahhhhh. Bright future... Bright Future....

Make My Wish Come True

Okay. So let me just be a video game nerd here for a sec. Final Fantasy has the best sountracks I have ever heard. I could fall asleep to this any day.

Oh the Joys of Driving

So, for about five months ago I became the proud owner of a class D drivers license and will in the near future obtain my class C drivers license. For those of you that dont know ,and not that it matters much, a class D drivers license is according to the Georgia Department Of Driver's Services "a provisional license for Class C vehicles that may not operated between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m." So while I am capable of dragging my butt all over wherever it is I need to go I am somewhat limited as to when I can do so. That being said. During my five months of driving I have learned that even though I love my car, driving it isnt all that its cracked up to be. The following is a list of the things that really annoy me about the driving world.

. People who decide that its a great idea to slow down there car in the middle of a busy rode to role down there windows to look at scenery. Like... what could possibly be so fascinating that we need to go 30 in a 60 zone? I mean really?

. BICYCLES!!!!! Now nothing against bikers and all but ive never understood why people who ride there bikes insist on riding in the middle of the road. I mean crossing the street is fine, whatever... you need to get to the other side i get it. However, driving with the trafic ( though it is perfectly legal ) only drastically slows down the traffic flow and increases the bikers risk of being hit. Use the bike path!

. Now this one is something that my technical theatre teacher mentioned at the beginning of freshman year and i never really considered it because i hadn't started driving yet but... Apparently some people have a hard time registering what a green light signifies and how they should respond to it. Its like they sit there and think ,quote "Oh look a green light. How nice. Hmmm. Well. I guess i'll just give it a little gas" and by the time the three people in front of you decide to go the light turns red again.

. Road kill has alway's bugged me but when you are not driving you tend not to pay attention to it. However, now that I am driving I always feel so sad when i see these poor little animals curled up on the side of the road waiting to become carrion for some bussard. The worst is when I see a dog or a cat because for a few minutes I am not sure what to. Should I help it if its still moving ,or find an owner, or just keep driving?

. Finally, merging lanes has never been my forte. Although, I am getting much better. I hate how people feel the need to try and race you to be the one who is in front of you. YOU WONT GET THERE ANY FASTER!

Well. First blog post down! YES! Guess I should go topic hunting... and find some clever witty commentary to make.
